Synopsis

MacFadden - 1966

Earth tottered on the brink of destruction—and the alien invaders waited at the gates

Atom war had destroyed the world...

Histroy and records had been lost; the few war-shocked people who were left could not even recall what had started the atomic destruction.

But even these desperate circumstances could not change the basic nature of man. Out of the still-smoking ruins came one who was stronger and more ruthless than most. And from his plans to rule the universe grew the seeds of the last great war of all—the one that would—finally and forever—wipe man off the face of Earth.

MacFadden - 1966

AT LAST—The Ultimate Weapon

It was a fiery ball that had no real substance; you could put your hand through it. If you looked into its glowing depths you could see a miniature galaxy of moon and stars.

The Earthmen did not realize its value. The barbarians from Jupiter were fascinated by the ball but did not know how to use it.

Only one man realized that if he could get the ball for himself he could control the universe—for a while. Once enough energy built up in the fiery globe, there would be no need for weapons any more. The world and every living thing on it would explode in a blast of complete destruction!
