Synopsis

VAMPIRE STRIKE

In the arid San Diego Dead Zone, murderous fiends called the Vampires were kidnapping young girls to use as the main course at a sick feast. Nobody knew if the Vampires were the inhuman monster of legend, or human aberrations twisted by the nuclear holocaust. No matter what they were, Blade wanted them killed-even if he had to drive a stake through every one of their vicious hearts.

The Force

Led by Blade, they were five dangerous men and one deadly woman hand-picked by the Freedom Federation. Each brush with death made them more invincible, and in post-nuclear America, death was a way of life.

The Mission

Driven by a hideous lust for blood, a group called the Vampires was raiding nearby villages and dragging young girls back to the arid San Diego Dead Zone. There, they were the main course at a sick feast. Nobody knew if the Vampires were the vicious inhuman monsters of legend, or human aberrations twisted by nuclear holocaust. Blade didn't care what they were—he just wanted them dead—even if he had to drive a stake through every one of their hearts.

Excerpt

Blade could see the Vampire's glassy eyes widening in consternation. He raised the M-16 to his right shoulder, sighted, and fired. His initial rounds smacked into the lead Vampire's head, catapulting the ghoul backwards.

Sergeant Havoc, Boone, and Thunder took their cue from the Warrior. Each cut loose with skilled precision.

Caught in the open in a withering spray of automatic gunfire, the Vampires were decimated. Six dropped in half as many seconds, their bodies riddled with holes. Two foolishly tried to reach the bus and were cut to ribbons. Only one was left alive; he wheeled and attempted to flee.
